"Bad teachers insist;
good teachers show;
exceptional teachers are."
Read this in Janadas Devan's article Great Teachers in Class of Their Own (Sunday Times, 26th July 2009) & I thought it really summarises the different kinds of teachers out there. Or at least, the ones I've had. It's a pity though, that while I can immediately recall the 'exceptional' and 'bad' (or in some cases, really bad) teachers, I cannot do the same for the 'good' teachers, for there are many who did good but didn't leave an indelible impression. The exceptional ones, we remember the inexplicable way they carried thmselves & influenced the class. The bad ones, we remember the terrible silence in class & mind-numbing dullness that pervades the atmosphere. (And complain alot about them as well to anyone who wants to hear.) But the good ones? Well... yea...shrugs okay, here & there I remember the occasional funny moments, help rendered & concern shown; I'm grateful of course, but my mind draws plenty of blanks.
P.S blogger is still scarrooed.
P.P.s does anyone want to watch Public Enemies with me? (:
