Pain(t)-balling

Paintball is omgeesomeawesomefun but it hurts as well. Yeaahah I've got battle scars (as WQ calls it). Calling the day interesting would be a huge understatement (:

We(WQ and I) were grouped into teams of 5 and well, assumed that everyone else there were noobs like us. How wrong we were! The other 3 people on our team were experienced, seasoned players. (And so were- let's see- more than half of the participants.) Didn't help that we were the youngest there; everyone else was 18 and above. Butbutbut the interesting thing? All 3 of them were seniors from The College! (: Was like some mini College reunion-esque thingum. Like how much smaller can the world get!

The game itself isn't all that easy. And shooting the blasted paint-filled sphere? It's SO inaccurate I'll probably get a higher percentage accuracy shooting rubberbands. Yea, imagine the number of paintballs I spent trying to hit someone's back.

Played a death match (meaning game ends when 1 team runs outta ammunition) at the end and guess what! It was 4 girls & a guy against 5 guys. Since us females are smarter, our strategy was to wait it out and let our dear trigger happy opponents empty their tanks (: IT WORKED! Even better that our side still had tons of bullets left.

The best part of the entire thing? We got to empty the remaining bullets at the shooting range (: The awesome, safe, clear shooting range where I didn't need to worry about receiving a headshot, or any shots for the matter.

Moving on to battle scars: 3 on my hands, 1 one my thigh and 1 on my chest thanks to a !#$%@&* close ranged shot. Then when I came home, I discovered 2 more on my thighs and 1 on my arse. Like yea, thanks for hitting my butt. Hurts bad, but the one on my chest's worse- it hurts even when I don't touch it. And the one on my right hand? There an INDENT. A freaking moon crater, or a pockmark magnified a hundred times.

The most unfair part? WQ emerged from all the games completely unscathed. Apart from a couple of headshots and bits of paint in her hair, she was otherwise bruise-less, unharmed, unblemished and laughing at my misfortune. Yea, I looked like I was bleeding orange blood or something :/

Haha but nevertheless! I'll so go back the next time! Ask me to ask you to go too!
